tooth tissues & the fight against decay

Sadly dental hygiene for our babies is not high on the priority list as it should be these days. In fact, “tooth decay in our youngest population is on the rise.” Did you know that premature loss of baby teeth can actually affect the development of permanent teeth? The ADA, American Dental Association, suggests to begin oral care early! Wipe the baby’s gums with a wet washcloth or a clean gauze pad after each feeding to start healthy habits and prevent baby bottle decay, a type of decay that occurs soon after a primary or baby tooth has erupted. – the ADA

To aid in the fight against tooth decay and healthy teeth and gums, two dentists created Tooth Tissues for their children. My Dentist’s Choice Tooth Tissues are disposable textured dental wipes specially designed to help remove plaque from your baby and toddler’s teeth and gums. Formulated with xylitol – a natural cavity fighter, Tooth Tissues are also 99% natural, fluoride and paraben-free. (Did you know many toothpastes for baby and children on the market contain paraben which strongly mimics the effects of estrogen in the body? Scary!)

My Dentist’s Choice Tooth Tissues are easy to use. Using one tissue, simply wipe your baby’s or toddler’s gums after a feeding. Perfect for those late night bottle feedings!

To give these Tooth Tissues a test we gave them to two of our lovely members of the Review Panel, Ashley Capellini and Kim Kellison. Both have infants that these would be perfect for. Welcome to your first product review Mark and Rory! Here’s what Ashley and Kim have to say:

ashley – I would recommend the Tooth Tissues. My almost 3 month old let me clean his gums with ease, which I hadn’t done before now. My 20 month old also liked them because she had to try out what brother was using! The only down side was my hand felt a bit sticky afterwards, but it rinsed off easily with soap and water.

kim – I thought the idea was a good one but I have no way to know if this is works or not. I would be interested in more information or studies of its effectiveness. After using it with Rory, my 2 month old, I found it difficult to swab her gums but it might be easier as she gets older and I keep doing it. Overall, Rory seemed fine with the taste but I will not be completely sold until I have more proof that it actually works.

My Dentist’s Choice Tooth Tissues are perfect for infant up to 16 months! Find them at a store near you.
