Those who know me know I am Mrs. Lysol. Can’t be too careful with a preemie. So, when it comes to restaurants imagine my squeemyness when it comes to restaurant tables and germs. Lord knows you can’t give my girl a plate or she’ll throw it at the table next to us with delight and then we have a lawsuit on our hands. Recently I have found the saving grace for restaurant outings and it comes in the form of a placemat.
It’s the Sumer Infant Tiny Diner Placemat and it is the best thing ever! It’s a rubber placemat with suction cups that stay on a table and the best part is that it has a catching tray for all those missed bites. It is easily cleanable and rolls up to fit in my purse. You don’t have to worry about a clean table for little hands to eat off of, flying plates, or crumbs. You can find it at Babies “R” Us or Amazon. Love this!

We have this for my daughter, so I thought I’d offer a tip that I wish I had known…
I would unroll it as much as possible when you’re home. We love ours, but it has grown so difficult to smooth out, as it wants to roll back up on itself. I think if I had made a point to unroll it when we weren’t out and about, it might not be so bad.

Thanks so much for the tip! I am unrolling mine now.
