Recently, we packed our bags and flew to San Francisco for my best friend’s wedding. Of course, I made sure to add a few days onto the trip not for sight seeing (although the galleries and the MOMA were a must), or tourists traps, or relaxing…no I added a few days merely to taste everything San Francisco had to offer. Unfortunately, traveling with a two year old did prohibit a lot of what I wanted to explore but when I came home I was satisfied with what I accomplished. When I arrived home from a fantastic trip to San Francisco there was a brand new B0n Appétit sitting ever so patently in the mailbox. The unpacking would have to wait. Magazine reading always comes first, right? Ever since we left the airport I have been racking my brain to come up with new recipes based on the fresh seasonal foods I had on the west coast. Things that go through my head at 3am while I’m giving Mia a breathing treatment from a recent bout with RSV: ” How long have I had that bag of flour in the pantry and how do you know when it goes bad…does flour go bad?….Will Mumford and Sons ever come out with a new album?…Will Elmo ever go away?…If I could live anywhere in the world where would it be?… How the hell I going to squeeze my foot into a 41/2 inch heel for an upcoming wedding?…and I need a spray tan before I go to San Francisco
